On February 26, 2025, Lanzhou University and PowerChina Investment Corporation successfully signed an agreement to jointly establish a training base for professional master's degree students in civil and hydraulic engineering.
Vice President of Lanzhou University, Gou Xiaohua, and Chairman of PowerChina Investment Corporation, Kang Jianming, attended the signing ceremony and jointly unveiled the plaque for the base. The event was also attended by Zhang Jipeng, General Manager of PowerChina Investment Corporation, Mei Zhonglei, Director of the Training Office of the Graduate School at Lanzhou University, Li Yu, Dean of the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Wang Xin, Vice Dean, Zhang Baoqing, Head of the Civil and Hydraulic Engineering Program, and Wang Yibo, Deputy Director of the Program.
