Lecturer profile

Li Xin, researcher fellow, doctoral supervisor, laboratory director. Mainly engaged in the application of land surface data assimilation, remote sensing, and GIS in hydrology and water resources and cryosphere research, basin integration research. His main academic contributions include the development of land surface data assimilation system in Western China, the design and implementation of "Heihe Integrated Remote Sensing joint experiment (WATER)" and "Heihe ecological hydrological remote sensing experiment (HiWATER)", and the establishment of China's cryosphere information system and "digital Heihe River".

He has been awarded the title of young and middle-aged leading talents in scientific and technological innovation, National talent project, and the title of "young and middle-aged expert with the outstanding contribution", Wang Kuancheng of Chinese Academy of Sciences Award for outstanding contribution of western scholars, outstanding scientific and technological achievement award of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the first prize of Natural Science Award of Gansu Province and first and second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award. More than 350 academic papers have been published (200+ of SCI), with 13000 citations (5700+ citation). He served as a member of the Scientific Steering Committee of the World Climate Research Program / Global Energy and Water Exchange Project (WCRP/GEWEX), the Scientific Steering Committee of the Global Water Future Research Program, and the editorial board member of several international journals such as Science China-Earth Sciences, Science Bulletin, Journal of Hydrology, Vadose Zone Journal, etc.
