Wang Mi is a laboratory technician at the School of Resource and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University. She graduated with a PhD from the same institution in June 2024. In September 2024, she joined a research team on a visit to Tajikistan, where she participated in joint scientific investigations and advanced scientific collaboration with countries along the "Silk Road." During her research, Wang Mi developed new methods for studying seasonal changes in the Quaternary period based on high-resolution stable isotope analysis of snail shells. Her work provided key evidence for understanding the seasonal variation of the Asian monsoon during glacial-interglacial cycles and introduced new approaches to improving the temporal resolution of Quaternary climate and environmental change studies. In recent years, she has published nine academic papers in journals such as Quaternary Science Reviews, Geology, and Geophysical Research Letters. She is also the principal investigator of a project funded by a key laboratory under the Ministry of Education.
