Expert Profile:

Professor Bai E is a faculty member at Northeast Normal University and a doctoral supervisor. Her research primarily focuses on soil geography, biogeochemistry, and global change, with particular attention to soil organic matter retention mechanisms and the microbial driving mechanisms of soil material cycles. Her recommendations have been adopted byPeople’s Daily Internal Reference. She has received the "Excellent Young Scientist Fund" and the "Distinguished Young Scientist Fund" from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. As the lead scientist, she has directed over ten national-level research projects, including the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Youth 973 Program. Professor Bai has published more than 100 papers in SCI journals, includingNature Communications, and serves as an associate editor or editorial board member for several top international journals, such asGlobal Change Biology.She has received numerous awards, including the "Top 100 Outstanding Doctoral Supervisors" Award from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the "Outstanding Mentor Award" from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the "Youth Science and Technology Award" from the Chinese Geographical Society. For four consecutive years, she has been named to the Stanford University list of the world's top 2% scientists.
