Reporter Profile:

Kang Jianmin graduated from Hohai University in 1994 and is a registered consultant and civil engineer. He has previously served as a Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of Beijing Investigation and Design Institute Co., Ltd., Chairman of PowerChina Vibroflotation Engineering Co., Ltd., General Manager of China Power Construction Group Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., and as a Director of the Beijing Water Conservancy Society and Deputy Secretary-General of the Reservoir Economics Committee of the China Society for Hydropower Engineering.

In 2015, he was recognized as a Beijing Model Worker. His achievements have received several awards, including the Third Prize of the National Energy Administration'sOutstanding Achievement Award in Energy Soft Science Research(2013), the Third Prize of the China Hydropower Engineering Association'sScience and Technology Award for Hydropower(2014), and the First Prize of the Beijing Water Conservancy Society’sScience and Technology Award.

Since March 2023, he has been serving as the Party Secretary, Chairman, and Legal Representative of PowerChina Power Investment Group Co., Ltd. His work focuses on planning and designing hydropower and water resources projects, clean energy systems including water-wind-solar integration, and the development, construction, and operation of integrated energy bases.
