Dr. Yang Haijiang is a "Cuiying Postdoctoral Fellow" at Lanzhou University. He earned his Ph.D. in Geography from the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University, in June 2023. His research primarily focuses on ecosystem services and socio-ecological system sustainability, as well as sustainable development and management of water-soil-agriculture systems. He has published a total of 34 academic papers, including 15 as the first author, in journals such as Agricultural Systems, Journal of Environmental Management, Ecological Indicators, Environmental Research, Frontiers in Environmental Science, Chinese Journal of Ecology, and Journal of Forestry and Grassland Resources. Among these, 7 are SCI-indexed papers. Dr. Yang has participated in the compilation of the Green Book of Qilian Mountain Ecology (2020, 2021, 2022 editions) and contributed to three policy consultation reports, which were adopted by the General Office of the Gansu Provincial Party Committee and received instructions from provincial leaders. He has led one project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth Science Fund) and another supported by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (National Postdoctoral Researcher Program). Additionally, he has been a core member in a major international cooperation project under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan and a key member of a major project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Dr. Yang serves as a reviewer for international journals including Nature Communications, Scientific Reports, and Land, among others. He has also engaged in academic exchanges and collaborative research with institutions such as the University of Southern Queensland in Australia, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
