Expert Profile:

Dr. Subash Adhikari obtained his Ph.D. in June 2020 from the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, specializing in natural geography. His research focuses on the chemical composition changes of glacier ecosystems in the Himalayan region of the Tibetan Plateau, their main sources and controlling factors, as well as the variations in isotope characteristics and their implications for climate processes. Over the past five years, he has published 13 SCI papers, serving as the first author or corresponding author in journals such asScience of the Total Environment,Environmental Research,Atmospheric Research,Journal of Atmospheric Chemistry, andEnvironmental Monitoring and Assessment. From July 2010 to July 2021, he worked as a lecturer, associate professor, and department head in the Faculty of Science at Tribhuvan University. From 2021 to 2024, he worked full-time as a member of the Gandaki Province Policy and Planning Commission, a high-profile think tank led by the Chief Minister. The team conducts research and collaborates with academicians, researchers, and development partners from various countries to formulate plans and development policies for the government in various fields.
