Reporter Profile:
Zhang Fen is an associate professor at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University. Her teaching and research focus on forest ecology and dendrochronology. She has conducted academic exchange visits to the University of Delaware (USA) and Tottori University (Japan), engaging in effective international collaborative research. She has presided over two projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and two projects supported by the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. As a core team member, she has participated in two major NSFC projects, one key NSFC project, one joint NSFC fund project, and several general NSFC projects. She participated in the Second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research Program and was involved in project management. She has published over 40 papers in domestic and international journals. Her honors include a Provincial-Level Offline First-Class Course (second contributor), the Second Prize of Natural Science of Gansu Province (fifth contributor), and the Third Prize in the 7th Young Teachers’ Teaching Competition of Lanzhou University, among other teaching and research awards.
