Professor Xuanlong Ma is a doctoral advisor at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University. His research focuses on quantitative vegetation remote sensing, ecological remote sensing monitoring, and global change. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Lanzhou University and his Ph.D. from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.Professor Ma has conducted postdoctoral research at internationally renowned institutions, including the University of Technology Sydney in Australia and the Max Planck Society in Germany. He has also engaged in academic exchanges at Chiba University (Japan), Seoul National University (South Korea), the University of Technology Sydney (Australia), the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv), the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ, Germany), and the United States Geological Survey (USGS).He has published over 60 SCI-indexed papers and led several national and provincial-level research projects, including the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and international cooperation and exchange projects. Professor Ma serves as a member of the Quantitative Remote Sensing Committee of the China Association for Remote Sensing Applications, the Ecological Remote Sensing Committee of the Ecological Society of China, and as an associate editor of theJournal of Remote Sensing. He is also a reviewer for 26 academic journals.
