Reporter Profile:
Li Qing is a professor at the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, Fudan University. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Theoretical Physics from Lanzhou University in 2007 and obtained a Ph.D. in Nuclear Science from Tsinghua University in 2012. In 2017, he joined Fudan University to conduct research in environmental science, primary focusing on interdisciplinary fields including atmospheric chemistry, flue gas monitoring, and environmental health.
He led the development of an online monitoring system for condensable particulate matter in industrial flue gas, which was the first to achieve industrial application internationally. He also proposed a health-effect-oriented air pollution prevention and control strategy. As the first or corresponding author, he has published over 60 SCI papers, including those in Nature, Nature Energy, Nature Communications, One Earth, Environmental Science & Technology (ES&T), Environmental Science and Technology Letters (ES&T Letters), and Geophysical Research Letters (GRL). He has presided over research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), including those for Young Scientists, General Programs, Excellent Young Scholars, Joint Key Projects, and the Category "A" for Young Scholars.
