Reporter Profile:

Zhang Deguo is a Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor under the "100 Talents Program" at Zhejiang University. His research focuses on the dynamics of dune morphology and changes in desert paleoenvironmental conditions. His research findings have been published in academic journals including Nature GeoscienceCatenaJournal of Geophysical Research: Earth SurfacePalaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, PalaeoecologyQuaternary Science ReviewsEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, and Geomorphology. He has served as principal investigator for projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Government-to-Government Cooperation Special Program under the National Key R&D Program of China. He currently serves as Director of the Physical Geography Committee of the Zhejiang Geographical Society and as Associate Editor of Aeolian Research and an editorial board member of Journal of Desert Research.
