On December 1, 2025, at the invitation of Professor Mu Cuicui from the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University, Professor Luo Yong from Tsinghua University delivered a lecture on the course Introduction to Cryospheric Science to the 2023 cohort of undergraduates of the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Qinling Hall, Yuzhong Campus, Lanzhou University.

Professor Luo Yong provided a comprehensive and detailed explanation of cryospheric component modeling and projections of cryosphere change, covering topics such as climate system models, cryospheric component models, cryospheric process simulations, and climate change attribution. At the same time, in combination with the latest research advances, he systematically introduced projections of climate change as well as future changes in key cryospheric elements, including sea ice, snow cover, and permafrost.
