To further deepen school–enterprise cooperation and the integration of industry and education, and to effectively strengthen the outcomes of practical education, a delegation of faculty and student representatives from the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences visited Gaotai County from May 6 to 7 to conduct research activities on school–enterprise cooperation.
At the Gaotai County E-commerce Public Service Center, the School and Gansu Dingsheng E-commerce Co., Ltd. held a plaque-awarding ceremony for school–enterprise cooperation, officially establishing the "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Education Base of the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University". During the visit, faculty and student representatives observed and learned about key business operations, including e-commerce platform management, supply chain management, and brand incubation. They also engaged in in-depth discussions with General Manager Sun Lixia on collaborative talent cultivation between universities and enterprises, student entrepreneurship support, and livestreaming-based rural assistance practices.
On May 7, the faculty and student delegation visited Gansu Gongyu High-Tech Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Technology Co., Ltd. to gain firsthand knowledge of the construction of the integrated agriculture–forestry–animal husbandry–fertilizer circular industrial park and territorial spatial planning. During the exchange session, General Manager Zhang Zhenghong welcomed the delegation and engaged in in-depth discussions with students on entrepreneurial aspirations, sense of mission, and dedication to one's ideals. Wang Liqun, manager of the company's production department, provided a detailed introduction to site construction, fruit and forestry cultivation, and resource recycling practices. Through field investigations and face-to-face discussions, students were guided to deepen their understanding and appreciation of responsibility, dedication, and professional development by learning from the entrepreneurial journey of those committed to serving and contributing to local communities.
During the livestreaming practice session, livestream hosts from Gansu Dingsheng E-commerce Co., Ltd. guided students through hands-on experiences in real-scene livestream sales and video production. The training focused on scriptwriting, filming techniques, and optimization of livestream presentation skills through immersive teaching and practical exercises. Students were encouraged to leverage the university's platform advantages, explore regional resource endowments, take root in western China, and serve rural revitalization and agricultural development, thereby opening a new chapter for Lanzhou University youth in supporting agriculture through livestreaming initiatives.
This school–enterprise cooperation research activity enabled the School to establish close connections with outstanding enterprises in Gaotai County, achieving new progress in expanding students' development opportunities, enriching the practical application of professional knowledge, and strengthening university–enterprise collaboration. Moving forward, the School will continue to deepen cooperation with local governments and enterprises, promote the transformation of research outcomes into tangible educational achievements, and guide more young students to devote themselves to grassroots practice and strive with determination. Through vivid practices in serving rural revitalization and green development, they will demonstrate the responsibility of Lanzhou University and contribute the strength of youth.
