At the invitation of Prof. Zhang Zilong and Researcher Ma Weijing from the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University, Researcher Qiu Dunlian from the Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Ministry of Water Resources (IMHE, CAS), will visit our university for academic exchange and deliver a lecture on July 13, 2026. Qiu Dunlian, Ph.D., Researcher, is Director of the Academic Journal Center at the Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Ministry of Water Resources, and Executive Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Mountain Science. She has led two projects under the China International Influence Promotion Plan for Science and Technology Journals, two projects under the Excellence Action Plan for China STM Journals, and two projects under the Sichuan Province First-Class Science and Technology Journals Cultivation Program. She has visited and conducted academic exchanges in nearly 20 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Norway, Japan, Austria, Poland, and Brazil. She has delivered dozens of lectures on academic ethics standards and scientific writing both domestically and internationally. Drawing on her years of experience in journal editing, she will share insights into common issues in scientific paper writing and submission, as well as ethical standards for academic publishing, while discussing current domestic and international publication guidelines and development trends.
